Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis home design

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) makes mobility and daily tasks hard. Matt’s Place 2.0 is a prefabricated, modular, mass timber home designed to support people with ALS and their families, with a main-floor patient suite, two upstairs bedrooms, and a bathroom for caregivers. Its L-shaped layout promotes wheelchair access, a weather-protected entry, a deck and garden, and eye-movement smart tech that lets the occupant control the home.
